As ‘the Body of Christ’ – His church – we do what He did… and continues to do through us! The reason for our existence is to reach people with the Good News of God’s Love. Simply put, we are a Lighthouse. Apart from Jesus Christ, people are like ships lost at sea – drifting about with no real direction or destination. As a Lighthouse, we hope to show the way to Him who is the Way – to help people navigate through the treacherous waters of this world that they may ultimately end up arriving safely on the celestial shores of their heavenly home.
Referring to Himself, Jesus said…
“The Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.”
– (Luke 19:10)
We’re all in the same boat (so to speak), and spiritually speaking, it’s a sinking ship….
