OUR PROBLEM
We’re all in the same boat (so to speak),
and spiritually speaking, it’s a sinking ship!….
There is no one righteous, not even one.” (Romans 3:10)
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
And our sinfulness carries quite a consequence…
“The wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23)
That is to say, our sinfulness separates us from God and disqualifies us
from having a home in heaven with Him, who – unlike us – is holy (sinless).
Thankfully, the Scriptures not only speak of “Our Problem” but also reveal…
GOD'S SOLUTION
“God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him
shall not perish (be forever separated from God) but will have eternal life.”
(John 3:16)
“God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died
for us.” (Romans 5:8)
“Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to
God.” (1 Peter 3:18)
Through his sacrifice on the cross,
Jesus has built a bridge spanning the distance between sinful man and holy God…
“There is one God and one Mediator between God and men – Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 2:5)
“God reconciled us to Himself through Christ.” (II Corinthians 5:18)
Through faith in Christ, we can be made right with God
and enjoy a personal relationship with Him that will last forever…
“The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus
our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
“God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son, He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” (I John 5:11-12)
